SBI Cards - India ka Diwali Offer

Amidst the festive season, SBI also has its share of Diwali offer, 'India ka Diwali Offer.'

The largest Indian bank has also announced a Diwali offer for its credit cardholders that will run through 1st October to 31st October 2019.

The SBI has offered a mega prize, weekly prize, daily prize, and hourly prize under the said offer.

Breaking the offer up:

• Top Spender Every Hour

- 50 Credit cardholders who do the maximum total spend every hour during the Program Period shall be eligible for a Puma Gift Voucher of Rs 1000 each redeemable across ‘Full price’ Puma stores

- Valid between 10 AM to 10 PM

• Top spenders every day

- 10 Credit cardholders every day during the Program Period shall be eligible for Noise Shots X3 Truly Wireless headphones

- Valid 24 hours from 00:00 hours to 23:59 hours IST

• Top spenders every week

- 20 Credit Card Holders every week during the Program Period shall each be eligible for Xiaomi Mi A3 smartphone (6 GB RAM /128 GB Storage)

- A week is construed as follows:

(a) Week 1: 01 October 2019 to 05 October 2019 

(b) Week 2: 06 October 2019 to 12 October 2019

(c) Week 3: 13 October 2019 to 19 October 2019 

(d) Week 4: 20 October 2019 to 26 October 2019 

(e) Week 5: 27 October 2019 to 30 October 2019

• Top spenders during the offer period

- 12 Credit Card Holders during the Program Period shall each be eligible for a Holiday Gift Card of Rs 100000 from Makemytrip.com

Points to note:

• In case if the Cardholder qualifies for two or more Top Spender categories (e.g., is a weekly as well as program period winner), the cardholder will be eligible for the higher value gift (program period winner gift) but not both

• The winners shall be announced on www.sbicard.com on February 5, 2020

• Cash withdrawals at ATMs, Void Transactions & Fuel transactions will not count towards total spends

Conclusion:

The offer is good enough, but your luck ought to play an important role here as it's uncertain if you count as a top spender or not. I personally like opting for offers wherein I know if I win or not like those of AMEX Diwali Offer, where you need to spend Rs X to win the festive perk, and if you can X during the offer tenure, you WIN - End of story.
